The Spanish word “el verano” can easily be translated: “the summer”. However, there is no equivalent in our language for the Spanish verb “veranear”. “To oversummer” sounds awkward and foreign. For Spaniards, however, “veranear” stands for a typical Mediterranean attitude to life and every Spaniard is immediately reminded of seemingly endless summer holidays with the family, of happy hours spent together on the beach or by the pool, of balmy evenings with fresh fish on the grill, fantastic sunsets …
This house has experienced all of this and, with its special atmosphere, perhaps offers a nice opportunity to experience this quintessentially Spanish attitude to life for yourself. One might almost be tempted to spend the holiday time with a good book by the private pool. What would be a pity, because fantastic beaches, interesting villages and numerous leisure activities are only a stone’s throw away.
